Identification of victims in fatal plane crash in Boone County
Boone County officials have identified the two individuals who tragically lost their lives in a recent plane crash. The deceased have been named as Scott Wentz of Grayslake, Illinois, aged 60, and Kenneth Serzynski of Beach Park, Illinois, aged 74. The accident occurred in a cornfield in Capron over the weekend, near the intersection of Capron and Blaine Roads. The Boone County Coroner, Rebecca Wigget, reported that Wentz and Serzynski were discovered deceased at the crash site. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has launched an investigation into the incident involving a VANS RV10 aircraft, with further inquiries being conducted by the FAA and the Boone County Sheriff's Office.
