Identification of victims in fatal I-40 accident in Loudon County

The Tennessee Highway Patrol has released an initial report on a serious accident on Interstate 40 in Loudon County that resulted in the tragic deaths of two individuals. The collision took place on Monday afternoon, forcing the closure of I-40 near I-75 for an extended period. According to a preliminary report acquired by a local news outlet, the victims have been identified as Kymberly Morquecho and Guadalupe Rodriguez, both aged 35 and from Texas. The report states that a Dodge S15 was rear-ended by a Ford F-150 while traveling westbound, causing it to cross the grass median into eastbound lanes, collide with a Hyundai Sonata carrying Morquecho and Rodriguez, and hit a cable barrier. The driver of the Dodge S15 was also injured, and two other vehicles sustained damage from debris. The THP report mentions that charges are being considered against the driver of the F-150 involved in the crash.
