Identification of victims in deadly pickup truck collision
In Colorado Springs, the El Paso County Coroner has identified the two individuals involved in a tragic pickup truck crash on an overpass above Hancock Expressway. The accident occurred on July 5, where a pickup truck was hit from behind while traveling south on Circle Drive with two passengers in the back. Tragically, one passenger was killed at the scene, while the other was rushed to the hospital and later succumbed to injuries. The deceased has been identified as 19-year-old Jorge Cruz. This unfortunate incident marks the 24th and 25th traffic fatalities of 2025 in Colorado Springs, a lower number compared to the same time last year when there were 31 fatalities.
