Identification of Victim in Head-On Crash
An updated report from the Johnson City Police Department indicates that a tragic head-on collision occurred on Watauga Road in Johnson City. The incident, which took place on Tuesday afternoon, involved a delivery truck and a Cadillac sedan. Tragically, one person lost their life in the crash, identified as Mark Western, 51, of Johnson City. Both the driver and passenger of the Cadillac were taken to a nearby hospital, with the passenger succumbing to their injuries. The driver and the truck operator have since been treated and released. The Johnson City Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident which occurred near McArthur Street. Further details are pending as the JCPD's Reconstruction Team looks into the matter.
