Identification of victim in deadly SUV and motorcycle collision
The El Paso County Coroner's Office has identified the individual who lost their life in a tragic accident at Constitution Avenue and Sierra Drive in Colorado Springs. The victim, Christopher James Easton, was 28 years old, as confirmed by the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD). The incident occurred on July 29, involving a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV near the intersection close to North Powers Boulevard. The crash resulted in injuries to both the male motorcyclist and a female passenger, who were promptly taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries. Following an investigation by CSPD, it was determined that the motorcycle and SUV collided as the latter was turning onto Constitution Avenue, resulting in the fatal accident. The coroner's office conducted an autopsy on July 30 to confirm the victim's identity. Regrettably, this marks the 34th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs for the year 2025, with 32 fatalities recorded by the same time in 2024.
