Identification of victim in deadly Nassau collision
The victim of a fatal crash in Nassau has been identified as Patricia Balcom, an 80-year-old resident of Chatham. The New York State Police were called to Route 20 around 2:10 p.m. on Monday after reports of a two-car collision. Balcom was driving west when an eastbound vehicle crossed into her lane and collided head-on. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other car was taken to Albany Medical Center and is in stable condition. The State Police continue to investigate the incident.
