Identification of victim in deadly Moreau collision

New York State Police have confirmed the identity of the pedestrian who was fatally struck by a commercial vehicle on Tuesday afternoon in Moreau. The victim has been identified as 78-year-old Robert Baker, who was hit at the crossing of Route 9 and Fawn Road. The collision took place while the commercial truck was traveling north on Route 9. State troopers arrived at the scene at approximately 11:47 a.m. and pronounced Baker deceased. The driver of the commercial vehicle is said to be cooperating with the current investigation.
