Identification of Two Men in Deadly Baldwin Accident on July 4th
In a recent update from the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office, the names of the two individuals who tragically lost their lives in a head-on collision in Baldwin Township on July 4th have been disclosed. According to the press release, the incident occurred early in the morning when a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze and a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox collided on County Trunk Highway DD. The drivers, identified as 18-year-old Cody W. Klasse from Emerald, WI, and 24-year-old Maxwell L. Krueger from Baldwin, WI, were both pronounced dead at the scene. The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office, along with other emergency response teams, responded to the crash. This marks the fourth and fifth traffic fatalities in St. Croix County for the year 2025. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
