Identification of suspect and victim in Chick-fil-A robbery and fatal Buckhead crash

A person tragically lost their life after a car connected to a string of armed robberies crashed at a busy intersection in Buckhead on Monday evening. The victim, an innocent driver from New York, was fatally struck by the fleeing suspect's vehicle. The suspect has been apprehended by authorities. This series of events began with a robbery at a Chick-fil-A in DeKalb County, resulting in multiple employees being pepper-sprayed and cash being stolen. The suspect's vehicle was linked to additional robberies in the area. Following a police pursuit, the suspect caused a collision at Peachtree and Piedmont roads, resulting in the death of the innocent driver. The victim has been identified as Richard O. Wells Jr., a 26-year-old from Highland Mills, New York. The suspect, identified as Santario Barnwell, is under arrest and facing charges in connection with the robberies.
