Identification of motorcyclist who died following police chase on I-81 in Cumberland County, PA.

The identity of a motorcyclist who died in a police chase in Cumberland County has been disclosed by the coroner. Thomas Staff, 24, from Lebanon, was riding the motorcycle when a West Shore Regional police officer tried to pull him over for multiple traffic violations in Wormleysburg at around 7 p.m. Staff attempted to evade the police and led them onto an Interstate 81 northbound entrance ramp in East Pennsboro Township, where he crashed into a parked dump truck after hitting a barrier, per PennDOT. Despite being taken to Holy Spirit Hospital, Staff was pronounced dead. The incident is currently being investigated. Stay tuned to WGAL for updates on this developing story.
