Identification of motorcyclist in fatal Hancock Expressway crash last month
The individual who passed away in a collision at Hancock Expressway and Circle Drive last month has been identified as 28-year-old Elvin Jose Irizarry Iglesias, as confirmed by the El Paso County Coroner's Office. The incident occurred on May 16 at approximately 10 p.m. According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), Irizarry Iglesias was headed northbound on Hancock Expressway and crossed into the southbound lanes during a curve, colliding with another vehicle. Sadly, Irizarry Iglesias died at the scene, while the driver of the other car sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. This marks the 14th traffic fatality in the city this year, a decrease from the 19 recorded at the same time last year.
