
Identification of individuals killed in plane crash near West Glacier disclosed
Officials have announced the names of the two individuals who lost their lives in a plane crash over the weekend in Northwest Montana. Dwight Steffanson, 69, from College Place, Washington, and Thomas Gladden, 68, from Otis Orchards, Washington, were the victims of the tragic incident at Ryan Field near West Glacier. According to Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino, the plane reportedly went down shortly after takeoff and was engulfed in flames by the time emergency crews arrived. The deceased have been transported to the Montana State Crime Lab for autopsies. The investigation, in collaboration with federal aviation authorities, continues to determine the cause of the crash. Tricia McKenna, Administrative Director of the Recreational Aviation Foundation, issued a statement regarding the incident.
