Identification of E-bike rider after fatal Mesquite collision
The Nevada State Police have identified the individual who tragically lost their life in a collision involving an e-bike in Mesquite. The incident occurred on the morning of Saturday, October 4th, at the intersection of Oasis Boulevard and Ivy Lee Crest. The rider, James Lindsey Jackson, aged 67 and from Evanston, Wyoming, was initially taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition but sadly passed away a few days later. Following an investigation, it was found that both a sedan and the e-bike were moving in separate lanes within a roundabout at the intersection when the e-bike merged into the sedan's path, resulting in the collision. This marks the 48th fatal crash resulting in 49 fatalities investigated by the Nevada State Police southern command region. Mesquite is situated approximately 82 miles northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada.
