Identification of driver killed in Thruway truck collision

New York State Police have identified the individual who lost their life in a tragic crash on the Thruway in Albany on Monday. The incident occurred near Exit 24, just west of the I-90's interchange with the Northway, around 12:11 p.m. The deceased, 64-year-old William Morrissey from Middleburgh, was pronounced dead at the scene following a collision with a tractor trailer. Law enforcement closed the left lane of the highway for almost five hours to investigate the accident. Thankfully, the tractor trailer driver was unharmed and is assisting with the ongoing inquiry. As of now, no charges have been brought against anyone involved.
