Identification of driver involved in fatal crash on I-26 West
A fatal crash on I-26 has been reported by the Dorchester County Coroner. The victim, James T. Byers, a 39-year-old from St. George, was traveling west on the interstate when his vehicle struck a guardrail, leading to the fatal incident. Byers was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was taken to Trident Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 1:58 p.m. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and Dorchester County Coroner's Office are currently looking into the details of the crash.
