Identification of driver in Fort Wayne police chase crash
Fort Wayne police identified the driver as Cameron Dylan Parker, 23, who tragically lost his life in a car crash following a brief pursuit. The Allen County Coroner's Office determined that Parker died from injuries caused by the impact of the collision. The investigation also found that Parker was not wearing a seat belt at the time, and his death has been classified as accidental. The incident occurred when an officer observed a pickup truck speeding on N. Clinton St. near the Northcrest Shopping Center around 10:15 p.m. The officer pursued the truck as it entered a neighborhood, eventually leading to the fatal crash into a house on Roaring Fork Run. Although the officer attempted to assist Parker, he was unfortunately trapped in the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Fortunately, no one in the house or other individuals were harmed in the incident.
