Identification of driver in deadly Delano collision
Kern County Coroner's Office has identified the driver who lost his life in a single-vehicle accident in Delano last Thursday. Elias Antonio Hernandez, 21, from Delano, was driving a vehicle that strayed off Woollomes Avenue's north edge before hitting multiple metal and wood poles alongside the road. California Highway Patrol indicated that Hernandez was not using a seatbelt and was thrown from the car. There were two passengers in the vehicle, including Andru Luque Felix, 19, who was sitting in the front right seat and suffered fatal injuries. Another 19-year-old female passenger in the back seat sustained significant injuries and was taken to Kern Medical. The authorities mentioned that it is yet unclear whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
