Identification of Concord high school student as victim in Walnut Creek crash.

A 16-year-old girl named Alina Safi was tragically killed in a car accident in Walnut Creek over the weekend. The accident occurred on eastbound Ygnacio Valley Road and sadly, Safi did not survive. Four others were injured in the crash, including a juvenile who was airlifted to UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital. A dog was also involved and a kind person took the animal to a veterinary clinic for care. Safi was a student at Mt. Diablo High School in Concord, and the school's principal, Markell McCain, shared a message expressing condolences and sadness at the loss of Alina. A GoFundMe page has been set up to support Safi's family and has raised over $4,600. Alina is remembered as a compassionate person with a bright smile and a deep love for her family and friends.
