Identification of 3 killed in fatal chase accident in Orange County
The Orange County Coroner has identified the three individuals who died in a fatal accident following a police chase on Wednesday morning. The deceased were identified as Brandon Antonio Ayala Herrera, Caleb Ezequiel Mendoza, and Luis Alejandro Mendez-Carbajal. Two other individuals in the vehicle survived but sustained serious injuries as a result. The car was being pursued by officers from the Anaheim Police Department after being linked to a car burglary earlier that morning. After a high-speed chase on the 5 Freeway, the vehicle overturned in Anaheim, causing a closure and traffic delay. The surviving suspects are in stable and critical conditions. The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
