Identification of 20-year-old in deadly motorcycle accident
On Saturday, August 9, a tragic accident occurred on North Union Boulevard near Vickers Drive, where a motorcyclist collided with an SUV. The Colorado Springs Police Department confirmed the identity of the victim, 20-year-old Spencer Lehmkuhl, following an autopsy conducted by the El Paso County Coroner's Office on Monday, August 11. Authorities stated that speed was a contributing factor in the crash after the Major Crash Team examined the scene. This incident marks the 35th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs for 2025, slightly lower compared to the same time last year when there were 37 fatalities.
