Identification of 19-year-old in tragic house crash
The driver who passed away in a tragic crash after hitting a house on Uintah Street has been identified as Isai Martinez, a 19-year-old. The El Paso County Coroner's Office and the Colorado Springs Police Department have verified Martinez as the deceased individual. The incident occurred on Oct. 10 at around 11:45 p.m., with CSPD's Major Crash Team responding to a collision near the junction of Uintah Street and North 22nd Street. Fortunately, no occupants of the house were harmed. CSPD's inquiry indicates that high speed likely played a role in the accident, with an ongoing investigation. Martinez's untimely death marks the 46th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs for 2025, compared to 42 fatalities recorded by this time last year.
