Identification of 18-year-old victim in South Shore collision
The 18-year-old victim of a fatal head-on collision in Plymouth, Massachusetts, has been identified as Matthew Wilson of Plymouth. The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning when Wilson's white Honda Civic collided with a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee on 129 State Road. Wilson was found unresponsive and trapped in his vehicle when emergency responders arrived. He was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, where he was later pronounced dead. A 16-year-old passenger in the Honda suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to South Shore Hospital. The driver of the Jeep was also hospitalized but is expected to recover. Initial findings suggest that Wilson lost control of his vehicle, crossing the center line and crashing into the Jeep. Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and it is uncertain if any charges will be brought forth as a result. Weather conditions' influence on the crash is currently undetermined.
