Identification made of female following deadly accident in Poconos
A tragedy occurred over the weekend in Barrett Township, Monroe County, where sadly, 63-year-old Linda Knecht lost her life in a car crash. Monroe County Coroner Thomas A. Yanac confirmed the identity of the victim, who was pronounced deceased at the crash site at approximately 8:30 p.m. on April 5. The incident, which involved a single vehicle, took place on Route 447 between Long and Gravel roads and was reported to Pocono Mountain Regional Police just prior to 7:30 p.m. The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the accident. The cause of Knecht's death has been determined as accidental, resulting from blunt force trauma.
