Identification made of another victim in Santa Ana crash with 5 fatalities

Authorities have identified another individual who was among the five people tragically killed in a car crash over the weekend in Santa Ana. The latest victim to be officially named is 16-year-old Jacqueline Torres Zarate from Santa Ana, as disclosed by Sgt. Gerard McCann from the Orange County Sheriff's Department. Earlier this week, three other victims were identified - 17-year-old Natalia Vidal Zarate, 18-year-old Emanuel Gonzalez Martinez, and 20-year-old Arely Robles, all residents of Santa Ana. Sgt. McCann mentioned that Martinez was driving at the time of the accident, according to Officer Natalie Garcia of the Santa Ana Police Department. The crash happened late on Saturday night on Segerstrom Avenue, with a speeding Lexus sedan crashing into a tree, resulting in four immediate fatalities. Two others were rushed to the hospital, where one later succumbed to injuries. Officer Garcia also indicated that a 13-year-old girl is on life support with grim prospects, and a 15-year-old girl is in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing, with speed believed to be a contributing factor as the authorities piece together what led to this heartbreaking incident.
