Identification made in fatal Eureka motorcycle accident
A tragic incident occurred on Route 117 near Eureka, resulting in the loss of life of a Normal man identified as Allen Skaggs, aged 42. The collision involving a motorcycle and a truck with a trailer occurred at the intersection of Route 117 and County Road 500N on Tuesday morning. According to the Woodford County Sheriff's Office, the motorcycle collided with the trailer after the truck had stopped to make a turn. Tragically, Skaggs, who was riding the motorcycle, suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Investigations into the accident are currently underway by the Woodford County Sheriff's Office and the Illinois State Police traffic crash reconstruction unit.
