I-95 South in Richmond closed due to multi-car accident
A multi-vehicle collision late on Saturday night led to the closure of all southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Richmond near Maury Street, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). The incident occurred at approximately 11:15 p.m. on April 5. By 11:25 p.m., all lanes were shut down, prompting officials to advise drivers to find alternate routes while emergency crews managed the situation. VDOT announced at 12:17 a.m. on April 6 that all lanes had been reopened.
