I-95 North Reopens After Car Carrier Crash Near Commodore Barry Bridge
All lanes of I-95 northbound are now open following an accident involving a car-carrier truck near Route 322 in Delaware County on Thursday morning. The crash caused a disruption during the morning rush hour, leading to the closure of all lanes between Exit 4 for the Commodore Barry Bridge and Exit 5 for Kerlin Street. The car-carrier truck, carrying three vehicles, overturned and scattered across multiple lanes, with several other vehicles damaged as well. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries reported. According to Pennsylvania State Police, the driver was speeding and failed to stop in time due to traffic congestion, resulting in a multi-vehicle collision. Four vehicles were involved, and two pregnant women were taken to a nearby hospital for assessment of minor to moderate injuries. Traffic delays were captured on PennDOT cameras earlier in the morning.
