I-81 CLOSED: Driver taken to hospital after tractor-trailer hauling 40,000 pounds of milk crashes in Dauphin County
A stretch of Interstate 81 is closed after a tractor-trailer hauling 40,000 pounds of milk crashed in Dauphin County, according to PennDOT. The truck crashed in the northbound lanes in East Hanover Township around 3:30 a.m. The scene is just north of Exit 77, Route 39/Manada Hill/Hershey. PennDOT said the tractor-trailer spilled milk along the interstate. A hazmat team was called to the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was transported to the hospital, according to PennDOT. The extent of their injuries is unknown. Interstate 81 closedThe tractor-trailer is partially in the median and blocking lanes of traffic. Interstate 81 northbound is shut down between Exit 77, Route 39/Manada Hill/Hershey, and Exit 80, Route 743/Grantville/Hershey.
