I-70 Shut Down Due to Fatal Motorcycle and Bus Collision

The Colorado Department of Transportation has reported a closure of sections of Interstate 70 in Wheat Ridge due to a serious accident. The Colorado State Patrol confirmed the closure of three westbound lanes near Colorado Mills following a fatal crash. Initially, CSP indicated that the accident involved a semi-truck, a motorcycle, and another vehicle, but later updated the information to mention a collision between a motorcycle, a bus, and a possible third vehicle that left the scene. Tragically, the motorcyclist involved, a 19-year-old man, was declared dead at the crash site despite attempts by emergency responders. There are no other reported injuries. The Colorado State Patrol Vehicular Crimes Unit is leading the investigation into the incident. As a result of the accident, traffic delays are estimated to be around 30 minutes, with congestion reaching back to Golden/Highway 58.
