I-70 in southeast Columbus closed due to accident

A collision on the southeast side of Columbus has led to the closure of a major highway this Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred on Interstate 70 near James Road around 2:15 p.m. Footage from traffic cameras at the location shows that a yellow tanker truck was the vehicle involved in the crash. Emergency services from the Columbus Division of Fire are present at the scene. The accident has resulted in the shutdown of all lanes on I-70 eastbound past James Road and two lanes on I-70 West. An individual has been transported to Grant Medical Center in stable condition. The cause of the crash is currently unknown.
