
I-70 Eastbound Lanes Closed Near Limon After Fatal Crash, Colorado State Patrol Reports
A tragic accident involving a semi-truck near Limon resulted in the deaths of four individuals, including two children. The eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 are currently closed as a result, as reported by the Colorado State Patrol. The collision occurred around 2:30 p.m. near Mile Point 348, situated approximately 13 miles west of Limon. The crash involved a Subaru Forester rear-ending a semi-truck pulling a trailer. The Subaru was carrying five people, one of whom was transported to the hospital. The condition of the driver is currently unknown. Thankfully, the semi-truck driver was unharmed. Authorities have yet to provide an estimated time for the reopening of the highway, and commuters are advised to steer clear of the area while detour routes are set up by emergency crews. Limon is positioned about 90 miles to the east of Denver and 90 miles to the west of the Kansas state line.
