I-69 in Monroe County closed due to deadly accident
A tragic accident happened early Saturday morning in Monroe County when a driver going the wrong way caused a head-on collision on I-69 near the East Sample Road exit, just north of Bloomington. Sadly, at least one person lost their life in the crash. Indiana State Police reported that the collision involved two vehicles, one of which was found overturned and burnt. Traffic delays are expected for those heading to the UCLA vs. Indiana football game. All northbound lanes were closed for cleanup, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
