I-24 closed in South Nashville due to crash involving motorcyclist
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — All eastbound lanes of I-24 are closed in South Nashville due to a crash involving a motorcyclist. According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the crash was reported at approximately 10:12 a.m. near the Harding Place exit on Friday, June 19. TDOT cameras show traffic is built up for several miles, stretching all the way back to Thompson Lane. A spokesperson for TDOT initially reported that the crash involved a pedestrian, but later clarified that a motorcycle was involved. A diversion is in place for motorists at Exit 56. Officials said the eastbound lanes are expected to fully reopen at 2 p.m. No additional information about the incident was released.
