Huntington Park man arrested for crashing into immigration officials
Federal agents arrested a man from Huntington Park on Friday morning for allegedly crashing his car into a border patrol vehicle during an immigration sweep in Bell. According to Customs and Border Protection, Jorge Sierra-Hernandez caused significant damage to the agent's vehicle and disrupted the operation. After the collision, a crowd of people reportedly assaulted agents. Marissa, a friend of Sierra-Hernandez and his girlfriend Jenny, described the incident as an accident that occurred while they were trying to leave the area due to a raid. A week later, federal agents located Sierra-Hernandez at his home in Huntington Park with the help of a drone and an armored vehicle. When agents moved in, Jenny and her children were safely escorted out of the house. Marissa, who only wanted to be identified by her first name, criticized the excessive force used during the arrest, expressing concern for Jenny and her kids who were asleep when the agents arrived at their door.
