Hit-and-run suspect caught three weeks after deadly accident in Lucknow
The suspect involved in a hit-and-run incident in Talkatora, which resulted in the death of a woman, was apprehended by the police 21 days after the incident. The accused, Karan Sahu (23), a resident of Aastha City Colony in Lucknow, was arrested by authorities. The car implicated in the accident was registered under the name of a previous owner from Haryana, who had sold it to Karan. However, as Karan had not completed the registration transfer process, it took some time for the police to locate and detain him. Allegedly, Karan struck two individuals, including a woman, with the car at high speed before fleeing the site. The tragic incident occurred near the MIS intersection within Talkatora police station limits around 1:30am on April 21. Police diligently reviewed numerous CCTV recordings to identify the suspect and then deployed a team to gather information from their contacts to locate him. The successful arrest was made on the tip provided by an informant on Saturday.
