Hit-and-Run Suspect Arrested for Fatal Western Avenue Crash
A driver turned themselves in to authorities after being involved in a fatal hit-and-run incident in Gardena. The crash occurred on September 7th near South Western Avenue and 148th Street, resulting in the tragic death of a woman. The driver hit the woman who was walking with her adult son and then fled the scene. Fortunately, the son was unharmed. The California Highway Patrol closed the intersection for several hours to investigate the incident. The driver's identity and that of the victim are not yet disclosed as the case is still under investigation.
