The collision occurred around 2:45 a.m. near West Virginia Street and Almaden Avenue close to the Highway 87/280 interchange. The police reported that two pedestrians were involved, with one sustaining life-threatening injuries and being transported to the hospital. Despite the driver fleeing the scene initially, they were later caught by authorities. The neighborhood was cordoned off while the police investigated the crash site.
