Highway patrol probes fatal solo-car accident on Famoso Rd
Authorities in Bakersfield, California are looking into a tragic accident that occurred on Famoso Road. The incident involved a single vehicle and took place on Wednesday evening. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash occurred on the stretch of Famoso Road east of Sherwood Avenue around 6:35 p.m. Reports suggest that a 35-year-old man was driving a 2015 Ford Fusion westbound on Famoso Road, but lost control at a curve, causing the vehicle to overturn off the road. Tragically, the driver, who was ejected from the car, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Kern County Coroner's Office is set to release the identity of the driver. At this time, it is uncertain whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
