
Highway 20 section closed in Nevada County due to crash, several injured, officials report
Three individuals were seriously injured, with one being airlifted, following a collision on Highway 20 near Grass Valley on Thursday afternoon, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The incident occurred when a vehicle traveling eastbound veered across the double yellow lines and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle around 3:30 p.m. Emergency responders transported all occupants - the drivers of both vehicles and a passenger in the vehicle that was struck - to hospitals with significant injuries. One driver was airlifted to a hospital in Placer County. Currently, rescue crews are on site clearing the wreckage, causing traffic to back up on the highway.
