Highlandville crash leaves two deceased and one injured
A tragic collision occurred near Highlandville, Missouri, on Monday evening, resulting in the loss of two lives and injuring one person. The incident, as reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, took place on Melton Road west of Mills Road at approximately 8:50 p.m. A Ford F-150 truck traveling westward veered across the center line and collided head-on with a Honda Odyssey minivan heading eastbound. The crash claimed the lives of the Honda's 45-year-old driver from Highlandville and a 52-year-old passenger from Republic. The Ford driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Cox South in Springfield. Miraculously, a baby in the Honda escaped unharmed, according to MSHP. This accident marks the 56th and 57th fatalities for MSHP Troop D for the year 2025.
