High school student dies in fatal car crash
A senior student at Anderson High School tragically lost his life in a car accident earlier this week. The incident occurred in the early hours of March 31 on N Capital of Texas Hwy. While the driver, identified as 17-year-old Malachi Jensen, did not survive, the passenger was taken to the hospital for treatment. The school community mourns the loss of Malachi, remembering his joyful presence on campus and within the football team. Additional counselors will be available for students and staff in need of support, and parents are encouraged to reach out to the school for assistance. The Austin Police Department is conducting an investigation into the accident and encourages anyone with information to contact the Vehicular Homicide unit at 512-974-8111 or submit tips anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program.
