Tragically, an 18-year-old senior from Homewood-Flossmoor High School lost her life in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Calumet City. The Illinois State Police reported that the incident occurred on the Sibley Boulevard ramp to northbound Interstate 94 just after 4:30 a.m. Following the crash, the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she later passed away.
