High number of car accidents in San Angelo in August
In August, San Angelo experienced a total of 190 car accidents, with 35 resulting in injuries and no fatalities. Based on data from the Texas Department of Transportation's Crash Records Information System (CRIS), the intersection of Sherwood Way and West Houston Harte Expressway under the Loop 306 overpass saw the highest number of crashes, totaling 11. United States Highway 67 had the most crashes with 31 occurrences, only three of which caused injuries. One of the days with the highest number of accidents was August 8, recording 16 incidents, while August 1, 13, and 14 tied for the second-highest number with 11 crashes each.
