Head-on crash leaves one dead, one injured in Central Broward County, sheriff's office reports

Tragic Accident in Central Broward County Results in One Fatality and Another Individual Injured A recent head-on collision in Central Broward County has left one man dead and another injured, confirmed by the sheriff's office. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday night, involved the fatal crash of 45-year-old David Ramsden from Plantation, and also left 43-year-old Steven Bell from Fort Lauderdale injured. The extent of Bell's injuries was not disclosed. The Broward County Sheriff's Office is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. Reports of the crash, which involved two vehicles in the vicinity of 4600 Peters Rd. near Plantation, were received by the BSO around 10:14 p.m. The preliminary findings suggest that Ramsden, driving a 2003 Honda Accord, was allegedly speeding and impaired as he approached the intersection of Southwest 46th Avenue. Ramsden's vehicle collided with Bell's 2023 Dodge Ram 2500 causing the tragic outcome. While Ramsden succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, Bell received on-site treatment for his injuries. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, as authorities are looking into factors such as excessive speed and driver impairment as potential causes.
