An incident involving two jet skis colliding head-on at Lido Beach in Sarasota is currently being looked into by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The Sarasota County Fire Department arrived on the scene and transported two severely injured individuals to the hospital, while two others sustained minor injuries. According to the FWC, both jet skis had two individuals on board who were all ejected during the crash. Observers recall hearing sirens approaching the beach, with one visitor expressing hope that those involved were not seriously hurt. Assistance from Good Samaritans was crucial in bringing the riders back to shore. Tim Dorsey, Assistant Chief of Special Operations for the Sarasota County Fire Department, highlighted the importance of jet ski riders wearing proper safety equipment like life vests and helmets, and being vigilant of their surroundings to prevent accidents. The collision is currently being investigated by authorities.
