Head-on collision injures multiple near Collins Lake
A serious accident occurred near Collins Lake in Yuba County earlier this week resulting in multiple injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision occurred when a 56-year-old woman driving a Toyota Corolla northbound veered into the opposite lane and crashed head-on with another vehicle. The woman sustained major injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Chico, while the 53-year-old male driver of the other car was airlifted to a Roseville hospital with a broken arm and other injuries. A woman and three children in the second vehicle suffered minor injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. The investigators closed Marysville Road for about two hours to clear the scene and are continuing to look into the cause of the crash.
