
Hanover Woman Arrested after Fatal Crash Resulting in Death of Six-Year-Old
Indiana State Police arrested 25-year-old Dorothy J. Snell of Hanover, Indiana following a May 2025 fatal collision where her six-year-old daughter died and four others were injured. The incident occurred at the intersection of State Road 256 and U.S. 31, involving a white Toyota Camry and Snell's Chrysler 300. An investigation determined that Snell was driving over the speed limit, ran a red light, and had a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit. As a result, charges were filed against her, leading to her arrest on July 30, 2025.
