A segment of the guardrail on the US 83 Relief Route connecter's eastbound lanes suffered damage on Monday due to an unusual incident involving an 18-wheeler plunging off an overpass in PENITAS, Texas. This area along the Penitas-Palmview connector witnessed a tractor detaching from a truck and toppling over, striking a car passing below the overpass. The Texas Department of Transportation recently confirmed that the guardrail harmed in the collision has been fixed. The outer shoulder of the road, briefly shut during the repair process, is now accessible to motorists again.
