NASCAR icon Greg Biffle, his spouse Cristina, their children Ryder and Emma, along with four others, tragically lost their lives in a devastating plane crash in Statesville, North Carolina on December 18th. Authorities from the NTSB are currently investigating the incident. Subsequently, WCNC Charlotte and other local news sources reported a break-in at Biffle's Mooresville residence where thieves stole $30,000 in cash and a backpack on the evening of January 8th. The break-in showed evidence of forced entry, but as of now, no arrests have been made. The police report lists Cathy Rose Grossu (Cristina's mother) and Jordyn Biffle Carpenter (Greg's niece) as the individuals who reported the burglary. A public memorial service to honor the crash victims is planned for Friday, January 16th at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, NC. Biffle, who was recently recognized as one of NASCAR's 75 Greatest Drivers, had a remarkable career with numerous wins across the sport's divisions, including 19 victories in the Cup Series. These achievements include consecutive wins in the Southern 500 at Darlington. Throughout his tenure from 2002 to 2022, he participated in 515 Cup races.
