Granbury ISD boy, 5, who died in bus accident celebrated for his joyful spirit

A 5-year-old boy from Granbury tragically passed away this week, after being struck by a school bus while running towards it. The incident occurred when the bus driver was leaving the neighborhood stop and did not notice the young boy. Exodus Crockett, described as an energetic and affectionate child who adored Spiderman, did not survive the accident. Reflecting on his joyful nature, the pastor of Stonewater Church, Beau Mills, shared that Exodus loved attending church events with his father and sister. Exodus was being raised by his father, Jacob Crockett, after his mother lost her battle with cancer two years ago. Pastor Mills highlighted the strong bond between Jacob and his son, emphasizing the support they have received from the church community during this difficult time. A candlelight vigil in memory of Exodus is scheduled to take place in Granbury at 7:30 p.m.
